For more than 50+ years, the marine detailing industry has been saturated with a slew of products that make outrageous claims – but simply don’t cut the mustard in real world applications. Other products that work well are usually made overseas, and cost detailers more due to distributor mark-ups, shipping costs, and import fees.
Lux Coatings USA was established to formulate a series of preparation, paint correction, protection and maintenance detailing products that deliver premium results – at an affordable price – and ALL MADE IN THE USA.
Our team boasts more than 30+ years specializing in both saltwater and freshwater marine equipment detailing and protection solutions under our belt.
Plus, we’ve collaborated with industry leading chemists, and formulation experts, implemented a multi-stage quality assurance testing program, and source all raw ingredients to ensure our products are eco-friendly and safe to use in marinas across the globe.
Our Four Step Process
Every detailer understands that each project is unique. The variety of substrates, age, condition, and client expectations guides the best detailers to customize a process that allows them to complete the project efficiently. But the one variable that you can control is the products you use to complete each step.
More than a decade ago, Lux Coatings USA set out to create a series of products that – when used together – can streamline each step of the detailing and surface protection projects you undertake – without compromosing quality.
Prepare
The best marine detailers know that the separation is in the preparation. Using high-quality chemicals that effortlessly remove existing debris, contaminants, and other embedded materials – without causing etching, staining, or creating more work is the key to prepwork success.
Lux Coatings USA is currently testing our proprietary formulations for marina-safe degreasers, decontamination soaps, and other prep chemicals that are safe for gelcoat, teak, textiles, glass, fiberglass, and other substrates.
Correct
Lux Coatings has more than 20 years of experience in paint correction and surface decontamination. We’ve used every compound & polish known to man, and on every type of marine substrate. We know what works – and what doesn’t.
Learning from our experience, we’ve partnered with one of the world’s finest developers of marine-specific correction thick liquids to establish products that expedites polishing projects – without compromising results. We’re in our final phase of real world testing.
Protect
When you’ve spent hours removing oxidation, scratches and swirls, you’ll want to protect that marine power-unit with a coating that enhances gloss & shine.
We’re currently working on a new line-up of nanoceramic coatings, polymer sealants, and other protective products that are all eco-friendly and hold up to extreme conditions watercraft is exposed to daily.
Maintain
Our initial product in the Lux Coatings USA line-up is our marina-safe Boat Soap. This high-suds producing maintenance soap was specifically formulated for marine vessels.
However, it’s the first of more than 10 new maintenance chemicals that we’ll be launching soon.
